My hometown of Greenwood, WI has seen great businesses come and go. With that the good jobs have become scarce. The jobs that are available are by one company that controls the job market/wages/etc. for the entire area. They require mandatory weekends. The have kept all other businesses from moving into the area and have bought up the factory buildings of the businesses that were forced to leave. They do offer solid benefits to their employees, however, it comes with the trade-off of family time just to make enough to squeak by. I have my own remodeling business which does fine, but the staleness in the job market/ low wages makes it tough for small businesses like mine to get ahead when people don't have the money to spend on services. I love what Bernie Sanders stands for and I think the people in this area would appreciate him coming and shining some light on our possible future with him as our President.
