He would be a wonderful coach. He helped us a lot when I played.

After getting sick and not being able to play softball for a few years after playing little league, I decided to join CL's softball team. I was of course nervous, for it had been at least three years since I had picked up a ball, glove, or bat, and knew I'd be behind some of the girls who had been playing for a long time. However, Tom and Jeff both gave me their time and effort to improve myself as an athlete and make sure I was the best I could be, and I cannot thank them enough for that. They were patient with me when I got injured and required surgery, and helped me to make a strong comeback the next year in the sport I love playing. Our team and coaches had developed a close bond, and for this reason I believe it's only right for Jeff to be coach. Not only does he know each of us individually and knows our skills and weaknesses, but he knows how to help each of us to continue to improve, especially as a whole team together. Why start with a new coach who doesn't know much about any of us players when Jeff already knows all of us and knows how we would work best as a team? Why take away a coach who has such a strong passion to make sure we are the best we can be not only on the field but in our current and future lives? Starting over with a brand new coach doesn't seem like a practical idea for the team and would only put us behind where we have the potential to be if Jeff would coach. I can't imagine playing for anyone else then Jeff, and without him, softball just won't be the same.

Thank you to everyone who signed my petition. Jeff's a fantastic coach and I'd hate to see him go. So would a lot of the girls on the team.

Jeff is a fantastic coach! When my dad was one of the assistant coaches I saw Jeff work hard to help every single member on the team.

Jeff is not only a great coach but also a wonderful person. He is so patient and willing to take time with any player that needs a little extra help. This is my senior year and I'm skeptical about playing because he is such a great coach and I'm not sure anyone can top him. My sophomore year I struggled hitting during open gyms, Jeff stayed after and helped me work on hitting and I ended up having a high batting average for the team. I hope things will turn around and Jeff Wiles will be our coach!

Jeff is the most patient, dedicated, and professional candidate for this position. Jeff knows how to play the game AND how to teach the skills necessary. He has never turned anyone down and he's always willing to throw a few extra pitches, hit a few extra grounders, and pick us up when the team is down. Jeff has been my coach for quite awhile and I can personally say that he played a hand in crafting me into the player and person that I am today.

As a past player, I recommend him and Tom Speer as coaches because they helped me become a better player. Not only helping on the field but off the field if I had trouble with my studies or just advice with something in general. They both give their heart to the game and want to see players do better.

I'm not sure who sees this, but I would like to make it known that Jeff Wiles would be the best choice for the softball program. He's dedicated and committed to the girls and the program. I've played underneath Jeff for about eight years on many different teams. I've never seen him lose his mind over a loss and I've never heard anything but encouragement come out of his mouth. I owe the player I am to not only my dad, but Jeff too. Of course winning is important, but there is so many qualities that make up a good coach... Qualities that Jeff Wiles has. He focuses on basics mechanics and helping the girls improve. He is dedicated and always looking for something new to advance skills. And he cares about each individual and the team as a whole. Clarion Limestone School Board, you made the wrong decision. I was a great player because of Jeff and I can honestly say, if he wasn't the coach, I wouldn't play either.
