Don't take away support for young mums- this is part of the investment for the future.

I fell pregnant at 19 and lost my job due to my pregnancy and with that lost all confidence. It took me until I was 21 to get the courage to attend this group. I've now been attending this group for just over a year, they have helped me get the confidence to get back in to work, prepare for my interview etc. Why take this away from mums that need the support. I was not ready at the age of 19 to make a step that to most will seem easy but for me this was a massive step Since attending this group I've made friends and so has my son, gained extra qualifications that will help me towards my goal of becoming a police officer in the future. With now working 10 hour night shifts I don't really get to take my son out as much as I would like and this group was the one place each week we both looked forward to. Please don't take this away from me, my son and all the other young mums and their children that need this group.

I'm really upset that this group is being chopped down for only 19 and unders and feel the benefits of the previous structure need to be kept if not extended as I've seen first hand with the mother of my child the positive influence this has had in her getting in to work, understanding budgeting finances bills etc. I've sadly also seen since being told she was no longer eligible a drop in her confidence and general morale. Please let sensibility prevail. Kind regards

This has shocked me that this is happening it doesn't matter what age you are everyone need a bit of support sometimes and this wild help young mums why limit that to some young mums above the age of 19 this is all the support that they have it's shocking

I think it is a terrible idea to lower the age, i was twenty when i had my daughter and joined WILD (now 21) and without WILD i dont know how i would of coped with my post natal depression, and every day life! Having a group to go to and to look forward to really helped me get through a dark time! And although im over 19

To the council Wild maybe just a group for young mums but its not just a group its much more than that, its like a family its somewhere for young mums to feel comfortable and not being judge for being a young mum! do not lower the age of WILD! being a young mum doesnt stop at 19!

I understand that cuts need to be made, but limiting the support you give young mums could be very short sighted. Give them the support they need, and it will reap dividends; early intervention at its best! I hope you will reconsider. Fran Pender
