Road is even more busy since the new housing estate under Gedling council. Can take up to 10 mins in a morning to eventually make it off my drive and the speed at which people drive is definitely not 40. Maybe speed cameras are required as well.

This road is a nightmare to cross espicially with young children trying to get to Linby school, and has been made much worse due to the extra traffic due to the new housing estate build on the opposite side of the road. I request that a pedestrian crossing needs placing and also a speed restriction from the roundabout located near the National Academy, all the way to Linby to help reduce the risk of incidents which are apparel.

Our road needs to speed down to 30 mph, and have speed humps installed. If its good enough for Bestwood village its good enough for Wighay Road.

For a road with so much traffic and schools nearby, the speed limit should be 30mph. This road is getting much busier with more properties being built. As a local resident I know only too well how difficult this road is to cross as a pedestrian which is very dangerous.

Drivers who use this road drive far too quickly. With the increase of property being constructed this will inevitably lead to a fatal incident if something isn't done.

Always accidents around Ward Avenue and Knightbridge. It will probably take a fatal accidents before anything gets done.

I cross with a 6 and 9 year old to atrend holy cross school and it's lethal. I also run a business from home (dog grooming) and know that I have lost customers due to the speed of traffic and the danger it puts people and animals in. We have also lost our cat on this road Someone is going to get killed.

All roads leading to the Linby School should be 30 mph. I was part of the school group that got the speed signs put up in the actual village

I really hope this petition works-the speed limit may be 40mph but traffic definitely exceeds that, more so at night time - it can be horrendous. I also agree with the street lighting and the pedestrian crossing - all very much needed- and dare I say a good idea for the double yellow lines..roll on putting them in force, hopefully this will include parking and blocking the pathway also

This road should have been 30mph even before the new houses were built. Both connecting Roads are 30mph but Wighay has always been 40 mph drivers tend to use Linby level crossing as a launch pad to go as fast as they can.

With the new housing, more traffic it should be 30mph. Especially when you have adults/children from both Linby primary school and National Academy school, trying to cross the road and no safe place to do so.

Trying to get out onto this road is a nightmare and trying to cross the road is extremely dangerous especially with children.

I think the speed limit should be 30 along the road and there should also be a zebra crossing.
