First of all, I had to choose a petition simply for the purposes of many people signing.

This letter is to Wigan Fire & Rescue Service.

Over the last couple of months, we have experienced many fires, simple and complex and the Wigan Fire Service has been on hand and very over worked, they have faced many dangerous situations sometimes by natural causes, sometimes by accident and also some deliberate.

This letter is simply to offer our thanks and appreciation from the people of Wigan.

Wigan Fire Service, thank you for your on-going hard work, your dedication, your care for the community and for the non-stop efforts to tackle some of the biggest blazes we have ever experienced, the biggest ones being the Yorkshire Moors and Winter Hill, we appreciate everything you do and people are very quick to point their fingers and complain, but we would all just like to say THANK YOU!
