Don't you think it's time that the people of Widnes had their own professional football team Anyone who lives in the town or the area of Halton will recognise the proliferation of football clubs and teams throughout the area and the new generation of talent on-tap. Professional teams start slowly, making their way up through divisions and leagues but with the support of their fans there is every chance of success. So how about it Are you interested in supporting a 'real' local football club For those supporters lucky enough to regularly attend Liverpool or Everton matches the cost is high - what if you could make your way to a match, within walking distance from your home to watch your town team play for a fraction of the cost What we want to do is gauge public opinion and gather support for a project that could see the highest level of football coming to town - Widnes Town.
