It is such a hazardous part of the journey to school, and particularly bad at 840am and 320pm.

I do totally agree. Everyday I find the way to school quite stressful. SOMETHING should be done about it.

I walk my child to school each day using this crossing and due to the number of children, parents and buggies crossing and the small amount of pavement. You can quite often feel cars almost touching you as they speed off as soon as it turns green. Its lucky no one has ever been hit by one of these impatient drivers. If the pavement was larger it would feel much safer.

You don't want to wait for a child to die to do the right thing

It may also be worth making the Tesco store manager aware of this petition and the issues around the crossing since it's Tesco land that may be needed for any widening scheme that takes place.

Please also make tesco take responsibility for the cars illegally entering the exit of the car park at this junction.

Totally agree this bit of pavement needs widening. But there are also other issue of over grown foliage that needs sorting in the area

My children go to one of the local primary schools and the narrow pavement puts them in danger everyday. This would make a real change for the good of the local community.

This is hugely important for me as a mum who does this school run every day. I have seen children fall into the road, cars mount the kerb, pushchairs being forced on to the road at the crossing and cars setting off once the lights go green despite children and parents still being in the road unable to all get on to the pavement in time. It is a miracle that there hasn't been a terrible accident so far.
