I agree with the charges if widebeams could use the whole network but they can’t so it is not justified whatsoever.

Wide beam Boats can only use half the waterway system. This is grossly unfair.

Totally unfair - attacking a minority of boaters. Many of which don’t use the infrastructure. My boat is a static houseboat

This is a very callous, unfair policy and needs to be reversed. Immediately. People should be encouraged to take to the water, not to be priced out or penalised for doing so.

This was purely about extracting more money from boaters. If they could charge ducks for a licence they would.

This is an outrageous increase for no realistic reason and should be halted immediately. Wide beam boats are no heavier on the system than narrow and already are limited in their range. Why is it deemed acceptable to penalise these craft?

Why pay more for a service we can't get the full use of it

Outrageous I can't get over this as wide beams can't get the full use of the system why pay for a service you can't use and the older vessels should be put under a classic boat scheme and pay less or be free

Wouldn’t mind but the rivers are unusable so we are paying for nothing!

I think it's wrong to just penalise widebeam boats when we can only use a small part of the waterways if the fee was to go up it should have been sheared equally,I have been a boater for over 30 years and have never seen the system in such a bad state of repair

Why do I have to pay more, when I can enjoy less?

Speechless. Trying to squeeze every penny they can from their licence holders in any way possible. Next they'll be charging to use locks and water points. Oh they wouldn't do that...because they'd have too much if a backlash, so hit a minority group, who already can't actually travel any where because THERE'S NO WATER MOST PLACES? My widebeam dredged the bottom of the L&L all the way there and all the way back. Did I charge for the service. No.
