Why should we pay more when we can only access a very small amount of the canal,Surely us only using a small amount of canal network evens it out with fees for a narrowboat.This is such an unfair increase.We didnt even get notified about the meeting about this.

they are supposedly there to assist people to enjoy leisure activities on the canals and not to try to rip them off

I don’t mind paying for the canals and rivers we can use but object to paying for one we cannot. The licensing system must be fair and currently it is not.

It's a disgrace to target boats wider than 7ft.
A 70ft narrow boat takes up more space in the water than my boat so why no raise for them? We pay enough considering the state of the locks

CRT's targeting of widebeams is disingenuous in teh way that they have gone about it. They have declared that widebeams block navigations, whereas the reality is that most widebeams have home moorings, often in marinas.
The Charities Commission need to investigate this discriminatory approach and carry out action as necessary.

Why should we pay more, then give us access to all the canal network, I already pay council tax and mooring fees.
I have helped with canal clean ups with IWA and worked weekends with the WRG,
If you CRT just want the canals for the rich, see see if they will help keep the canals going and get their hands dirty and help restore the canals because I'll be working to pay the widebeam tax.

This rise is discriminatory and unjust. It needs to be reversed... I cannot recall CRT ever sending out an email stating: Navigation Closed... due to Widebeam blockage... so how are Widebeams blocking the canals???
