The growth of this petition reached a threshold that warrants formal action. I am currently drafting a letter for the Ministry of Justice to request a meeting regarding the legal status of these ceremonies.

Love this. keep pushing
My partner and I want to have a real ceremony for our handfasting and it should be legal. Its our life and our choice.
Fair is fair. If the gov lets other religions do it then they need to let us do it too.

Finally someone doing something about this. So many of us have been waiting for years for this kind of recognition.
