I will not continue to be a member or a president of a branch if this policy continues. The W.I. is an organisation for biological women, not men who identify as women. I speak wholly for myself and not for the W.I. branch I am currently president of.

Biological men should have no place within the WI. Sadly, it seems that the NFWI has been infiltrated by the woke brigade and has arbitrarily thrown away women's rights hard fought for over the past 100+ years. I will not be renewing my membership.

The WI should be a safe space for biological women. All members that I have spoken to about this issue; believe me there has been much debate, are horrified at the thought of someone who identifies as a women being allowed to join. There has been much debate too about those who have had gender re-assignment. There needs to be a proper debate and a vote involving all members. The constitution needs to be very clear on this matter.

I always considered the WI to be a democratic institution. But there has been no vote or opportunity to discuss this fundamental change to our organisation. I feel it has been railroaded through with no meaningful consultation. This behaviour is not respectful of the members. It seems to be a city centric belief that every WI member has to conform to without any debate. Leicestershire & Rutland

I believe a stand needs to be made for women-only spaces and issues not only in the WI but wider society. A proper debate and full membership vote on the matter seems the bare minimum that should be done within the WI.

I was very cross to see a man deliver a W.I Petition to No.10 Downing Street. London. wearing a W.I. sash Inspiring Women. Not this one.

If you change the definition of a biological woman, your entire constitution and objectives become invalid. Should be women only membership.
