A Vote on Trans Women Joining Women's Institutes

This institute was set up for adult human females. The only people qualified to speak and act for and on behalf of women by virtue of their lived experience in becoming a woman. Nothing to do with costume or performance.

No man is a woman. Nonsense. If you wish to survive as a Women's Institute a place for women only then cease this fiction which places women into the company of men whether they concur or not.

How did it come to this. Good luck with the petition.

Survivors of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence NEED protection, not males in their safe spaces.

The WI should be at the forefront of the campaign to protect the sex based rights of women and girls and as a WI member I’m shocked that this isn’t happening. This is an issue that needs urgent discussion but I know from my own experience that members are afraid to speak up. Enough of the silence!

I would join it if were women only

I was a member & in fact helped establish the Bedminster WI. I moved out of the area & was horrified to learn WI was not only allowing men to join but was featuring them on the magazine cover. It stopped me rejoining a WI in my new city. Including men excludes women!

I would never join a women’s group which included men, regardless of how nice their dress is. If I wanted to join a unisex group there are plenty of social groups I can join.

At first number one priority was to have fairness and safety in sport for women. As I campaigned for this I then found out the terrible things being done to children with mental health conditions. Gender Dysphoria / body disatisfaction is linked to mental health conditions like anorexia but not treated the same way with therapy and correct medication. Instead children are being pushed down the fluid / body mutation path. You would not treat and affairm anorexia with diet pills and liposuction. Why are so many kids 'fluid' the rates of take up of this fad out numbers significantly the normal rates of 10 years ago.

I will never join the WI while it allows males to join. Trans women are not women. They are men.

My local WI is throughly captured by gender ideology and I have changed plans to go as a speaker because of this.
