I am extremely concerned about the apparent lack of safeguarding for women & children. I don't think the genuine concerns of having safe women only places is being taken seriously enough. This is my personal experience. I don't want a man telling me what it's like to be a women as he has no idea!! Please take this seriously.

Either the WI is for women, or it isn’t. It’s that simple. As a disabled woman, you will not campaign for my right to same-sex intimate care for my dignity znd safety, will you?
I have been asked to address WI groups as a speaker in the past, and done so. You can shove that, now.

You had one job, just the one: To support women and girls - you know, the boring old actual ones. Board of Trustees, what on earth are you thinking?

Trans identified men should not be part of an organisation that exists explicitly to cater for and support women.

I would not consider joining if this became mixed sex.

As a former member of staff of NFWI in London I am really disappointed that the current leadership has abandoned single sex only membership without putting the move to a democratic vote. Admission of males - however they dress or identify - is a fundamental change to the organisation, so if the leadership acts in good faith it should be confident enough to allow a vote.

Well done for this initiative. Members at least deserve free speech, open discussion, a full debate.

Women have a right to single sex spaces and should certainly be allowed to voice their opinions and have free debate without being threatened.

I resigned my membership when I realised the WI was a mixed sex organisation. It is neither fair nor appropriate for any person born male, however they chose to identify, to be part of an organisation for women.

'transwomen' are men. Either you allow any man or you allow none.
AGP's get sexual satisfaction from forcing women to comply with their demand to be publically recognised as women. You are forcing your women members into non consensual sexual activity by allowing these men to join.

"Transwomen" are, always have been and always WILL BE MEN.
It is insulting to Women to be forced to tacitly accept men in their social single sex spaces. They can make their OWN groups up. As women did in the past.
It is compulsion of thought and speech, breach of freedom of association to be forced to accept men in this space.
If the NFWI forced this through, it should change its name to "Men's Institute" as to retain the word women and to allow and encourage Men who LIE about themselves into the group means the group itself is LYING.
Inclusion does not mean this.

Having grown up in a small rural village where the WI was really the only place where women could get together without men, I was very sad to learn it had started to admit men with special identities. Women need and deserve their own spaces and groups.

The rights of biological women are being eroded gradually but if we are not vigilant we will find ourselves back in the position we held in the 1950s. First our recognition as mothers and women then our whole existence.

Just keep women's spaces for women. And have separate spaces for men and anyone who wants to be trans
