The members of any womens organisation have the right to be asked if they want to admit men. Trans women without a GRC are legally men.

I recently moved to a rural area where I do not know anyone. I hoped to meet women in a safe environment by joining the WI. Unfortunately, with the space now being overtaken by men, I no longer feel safe nor comfortable. It defeats the whole point of having a WI.

The Institute should take heed of the latest EHRC guidance and hopefully legislative change to follow. Women must be allowed to assemble in single sex spaces for equality reasons.

I would not join on the basis that a long standing womens organisation now suspends reality of human female lives to admit men based upon such mens ‘inner gendered souls’ . No thank you. Well done the women who are taking. Ack their Right to be sex based womens organisation. WI should know meeting erroneous male demands is not beneficial to women or girls!

My Grandmother and friends of my mothers was instrumental after the war in setting up this important organisation and space for education support and creative projects
I was shocked to hear like every other institution this is now just giving away the legacy of women like her farming women who have so much.
