Highway #1 Bypass around the City of Regina: Why Tower Road?

Should begin between McLean and Balgonie which ever Grid road could be enhanced and also away from White City. Also the bypass could be accessed with an easement and not the expense of an overpass.

Start by pass by Balgonie 46&1. Take it south and west join highwy1 ang ring road. More direct route, no need to go south of Number 1

This is just ridiculous where they want to put this road.We as taxpayers do not agree to this.This is unacceptable and they better start listening to us.This road should be put by the Gravel Pit Road,which is way out of the city limits and that is where we want it.The housing is so close to the tower road already and we will have the same problem as we are having right now so why would they even think of putting it there.I totally agree to move it to the Gravel Pit road

wtf are you thinking, all this madness will do is create more havoc on drives that already have issues driving on a normal road on a dry day... inturaduce this crap on a winter day and watch the pile ups ... your nuts and i say no to this

Tower road is a joke, someone bought someone lunch! And a whole lot more, maybe a little forensic investigation into the finances of some key people are in order.

Tower Road is a horrible location. What is it supposed to bypass there as it is still in the city. Move it farther east...

its not a bypass if it goes right thru middle of city what a complete joke, just like everything else in this city that has anything to do with infrastructure, this doesn't make one bit of sense.we paysonef the highest taxes in the country, where do they go??? Our city is falling apart pylons sit out on potholes or should I say sinkholes,for months on end, sidewalks are crumbling apart, most of our busiest streets don't have painted lines in them, there are3 foot tall weeds growing out of cracks in sidewalk all summer, it's embarrassing ,but at least we will have a nice new sparkly stadium that we can use for 4 months the year, that we have to sell out 14 ruder games to pay the bill, oh right there's 10 home games, that makes sense too, what a joke this city is

Using tower road is not a common sense approach; by the time the bypass is complete, it will be right in the middle of the city once again, buildings are already at tower road. Why not give the city a chance to grow out to it and keep the big trucks out of the city completely. Pilote butte access road would be a good idea as there's time for the city to expand out.

Needs to be moved out further then Tower road.Doesnt pay wasting money when it will have to be moved yet again. Do it once! Do it right!

I would like to see the Bypass moved to the Pilot Butte corner myself !! This would be better because this somewhere we they need to put an overpass anyway which they are going to have to build anyway !! Way not do it now and save the money now instead of doing it twice that way the bypass would be good for 100 years ! It seams to me that both the other 2 locations are to close to the city to me !! I have always wonder what the city enginers are thinking when they plan these projects !! It is just like the opening of Fleet st. !! Way would open a st. a st. in the middle of a community when you already have a st. with a railroad crossing there and leads to the industial area already !! It also does not lead right thought the middle of a community and is already to be del. without a bunch of extra cost that would have to be done to Fleet St.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. I have been trying to figure out how to comment on this situation, so this is great. I only hope it will be listened to. Tower Road is WAY too close to the present construction of the city. It will not be a bypass at all. It needs to go further east. I presently use Tower Road as a bypass, but as an official bypass, it will be swallowed up by the city in no time at all. Very costly venture for us all when we have to do it all over again in a few short years.

I believe the Tower Road proposal is completely unacceptable. Current housing construction is already very close to Tower Road. I do not, however, agree with the proposal to move it to Gravel Pit Road. In my opinion, the entire proposal is to allow Highway #1 traffic to avoid the entire "high collision corridor" east of Regina. A more logical location would be to have the new "bypass" reconnect with Highway #1 east of Balgonie.
It is a mystery to me why the Minister of Highways would plan for the new "bypass" to intersect with Highway #6 south several kilometers south of Regina but is planning to use Tower Road on the East side of Regina. I can only guess this must be for the benefit of one or more parties that have not been identified.
