should start further east and go north of 48. reduce the traffic at PB/WC and heavy industry is in north regina, so it would make more sense. try to build something correct, screwed up the GTH, most overpasses, now the biggest screw up.

This is not a bypass when you build it adjacent or within the city limits. Do it right and make it a bypass that will serve the purpose it is supposed to server for 30 or more years.

Tower road is just putting a band aide on a huge problem

This location needs to be reconsidered . As a person who will use it daily I can already see that the benefit of this location will only be seen for a few years and then we will see the same issues with this road as with Regina's current ring road

There must be a better safer location for this. and why is government hiding the other possible routes. something isn't adding up.

my understanding is that a bypass should go around the city not through it, or am I just stupid?

This location will not be a proper by-pass, it will only be another ring-road which is already a nightmare. Do it properly and start it Pilot Butte where the proper inter-change is badly needed.

This is "poor" planning at it's best. Can we not learn from others! Being short sighted costs everyone more- not just money but maybe someone's life.

Why wouldn't the City and Prov. Gov'ts do it right the first time. If its going to be a BYPASS make it a BYPASS and not an interior road in the city in a year or less. Lets see why there seems to be a push to keep this next to commerial and industrial business' along #1 EAST. What's going on in the back rooms behind closed doors.

This proposed bypass at tower road indicates the lack of awareness of future provincial growth in our province. The tower road location will not alleviate traffic pressures at the corner of hwy 48 & #1, nor Emerald Park/White City. I am embarrassed every time I watch a semi truck make a left hand turn at the ring road and Victoria Avenue corner. What terrible infrastructure with no four leaf clovesr at that intersection. To expect traffic to fight residential, school and work traffic, one needs to understand there are travelers who simply need to bypass the city. The bypass needs to start further east so traffic can travel at a comfortable 110km/hour AROUND the city of Regina not with reduced speed zones. The tower road suggestion indicates incompetence by our officials to not perform jurisdictional scans from various geographical locations of our southern neighbours in the USA. They are masters at moving traffic of which SK needs a lot of learning and support in this area. Toll roads operate effectively and there should be strong consideration to use this model to build the by pass around Regina. Who has done scans of Illinois and California, to know what are the toll rates per/km or mile to know what is an appropriate charge for SK? I would gladly pay a fee to travel worry free AROUND Regina when making a trip to southwestern SK. Who has contacted MB to investigate the building of the perimeter in Winnipeg as an example of what Regina SHOULD be doing. This by pass impacts all of southern SK and much consideration should be given to this decision by the people of this province. The tower road option is wasting tax payers dollars. Move the by pass location further east!

The bypass should be much farther East to allow future city growth. This is not good future planning.

Start the bypass at hwy #10/hwy #1 where it will allow the traffic to bypass safely Regina and continue on their way. Starting it at Tower Road is just absolutely crazy and someone really needs to refer/research USA bypass models and Winnipeg's Perimeter. Tired of the gov't wasting our taxpayers dollars when its not going to solve the problem of all the traffic on hwy #1. !

This proposed bypass does not alleviate the traffic from hwy #1 east going north/south of Regina. It should begin at Balgonie where hwy #10 intersects awith hwy #1. This road needs to begin way before Tower Road as all the highway traffic should not be expected to slow down to 80km or 90 km zones plus fight residential, school and work traffic. Someone needs to refer to a model of how the USA builds their interstates and cloverleafs that is required to be developed at hwy 10/hwy 1. Plus refer to our neighboring MB province where the Winnipeg Perimeter was built over 40+ years ago and still to this day is way out in the countryside where your highway traffic is away from your residential traffic.
