We do not need this road diet. Spend the money on street lights somewhere like 9w in glenmont where you can’t see people walking on the side of the road

turning out of our neighborhood onto Delaware is hard enough right now! Less lanes would make it miserable and stopped with traffic

I live on Mason rd. It takes me 15 minutes to make the turn onto Delaware Ave most days. This proposal will increase that wait time. Not to mention the traffic back up at the jiffy lube. It blocks one lane in each direction both ways with people trying to turn in. This will be a disaster.

I avoid Delaware Avenue as it is! I can’t imagine how much worse it will become if this ridiculous plan passes!

This is ridiculous, plain and simple. Not a forward thinking plan at all.

I ask that you review & adopt a better road design plan that reduces speeds, is safer for vehicles & pedestrians and provides easy access to businesses.

It’s time for Vanluven and the other radicals to start listening to the people of Bethlehem and the business owners of Delaware Avenue.

This is a politically motivated idea, an attempt to demonstrate Gov. Cuomo and the Democrats action to alleviate NY's carbon foot print. No matter that this is at the expense of Bethlehem residents and tax payers.

The Road Diet is a poor idea that will cause traffic congestion and negativity impact small businesses on Delaware Ave.

This is unneccessary. No justification to disrupt the lives of so many people. Put it on hold and Put it up for referendum.

The road diet as planned is a terrible idea on so many levels! It would be very bad for the residents of our town, the families that live and shop along this part of Delaware and the business that occupy this stretch in ways big and small. Bike lanes are ridiculous with the weather in the northeast, no connecting bike lanes on either end of the corridor and a bike path 1/2 mile away. The intent behind the diet is good, but this plan is awful for those who would be impacted. Implementing it without changes would be against the will of the citizens of our town.

Not a well thought out idea and defies logic.
We do need a direct right turn lane into Delaware Plaza and could use the same for access to the Elementary School so as to get school traffic(and passengers) off the main roadway quickly.
Same for access to Normanside Blvd(across from Delaware Plaza) where there are a significant number of businesses and traffic.
