The Americans with disabilities act in 2010 (effective in 2011) started a Law that said cats ARE NOT service animals, prior to 2010  the Disabilities act of 1990, service cats were also considered "service animals". For people that have them, like myself with a traumatic brain injury and health reasons we cant walk dogs. Service Cats also have been know to help children with Autism not just peolple with brain injuries, this is a major set back !!! This is why I am starting this petition to FIGHT for the RIGHTS of the disabled . WE as the disabled dont need to be put in the DARK AGES like OTHERS before us !!! We are only trying to IMPROVE our way of life and NOT depend on the Money of the GOVERNMENT . Please help pave the way for others with disabilities like myself who have a Service Animal who is not recognized or children with Autism! With help from others, this can be a start to take this to a federal level and make people understand!

I also have a service cat and they need to have equal rights---it's discrimination against species. Just because they are different doesn't mean they can't help in their own ways.

Cats are service animals. Any animal can be a service animal if trained or publicly peaceable. It is wrong to only see dogs as service animals.

I would love my cat to be my service animal I have auditory processing disorder and ADHD and I have Crohn's disease . I have sensory overload just like an autistic person and my cat helps me control these attacks and he also helps me notice sounds I'm not able to pick up because auditory processing disorder. It's a hearing problem in the brain . ADHD is a constant distraction in my life. My cat controls my panic attacks my cat controls my sensory overload and he helps me when I forgot something or when I didn't hear a sound or when someone's talking to me. He even let's me know when I drop something or he ends up fetching it for me. I don't understand why he can't be considered my service animal and I'm allergic to dogs . I'm actually allergic to a lot of different animals surprising enough I'm not allergic to cats though. So this is a huge setback for me as a hearing impaired person ADHD person and somebody that has Crohn's disease as well . My cat even reminds me to take my medication
