Child Labor in the cocoa industry is an important issue to focus on and it needs to be given more attention. Children as young as five years old are taken away from their families to preform gruesome tasks for little to no money. By signing this petition you are pledging to not use any products that contain cocoa beans produced in west African countries such as the Ivory Coast and Ghana. Companies such as Hershey, Nestle, and Mars are the major companies with non slave-free chocolate and are the ones you need to look out for. This petition will be sent to all companies using child labor, but it is encouraged to send personal emails to these companies explaining the boycott of their products by you, the consumer.
