One of the functions of a governmental body is to enforce contracts. I can understand something losing its grandfathered status after someone sells their house or it changes hands, but removing a grandfathered provision, that people acquired legally through permits, should not be happening.

I don’t live in Bella Vista and don’t want to. I can not imagine living in a place with no logical reasons for banning white picket fences. You’ve got to be kidding.

There is no logical reason white fencing should not be permitted in Bella Vista. It looks beautiful, clean and doesn’t rot, like a number of wood fences are doing in Bella Vista right now. Please reconsider this policy and allow homeowners to install or keep white fencing on their own property in Bella Vista. It is an improvement to the property, raises the property value and the tax base for the City of Bella Vista. Thank you.
