Petition to change Village of Downs chicken ordinance

please allow chickens in Downs

The powers that be, during the middle of a major economic downturn, chose to vote on taking away the ability of modest families of our Village one of the few ways to cheaply feed themselves with eggs and meat. They also took a swipe at our citizens ability to remain self sufficient in using chickens to supplement their food availability. Another fine example of bureaucratic meddling. Shameful

I want chickens !!

If a man can own peacocks in town, then who’s to say no to chickens? Those peacocks are louder than a group of chickens.
