We're tired of driving 200 miles to shop at Costco when we are the fastest growing area in all of Hawaii. Kauai has half of our population and they have a Cistco.

Personally know most of the community in the lower puna area would support a Costco in Hilo. Over 300 of us go to Kona once in a while and would shop regularly at a Hilo Costco. PLEASE. Hilo is READY for COSTCO.

I live in Oceanview and I do enoy shopping for many things in Hilo except it needs a Costc for sure!
Hilo is a much easier drive for us than kailua Kona will ever be!

Costco said it needs a % of members from east side in order to open store. What they do not understand is that it take half a tank of gas & 3 plus hour drive to shop in Kona. So most people do not have a membership on the east side.

We need a COSTCO in Hilo. We own a home just north of Hilo and will be moving there in May. The local stores will still have plenty of business.
