This is our official petition for the Installation of a Cell Phone Tower at Whelan Bay Resort. We, as the people who currently reside here, own vacation properties here, frequent here for camping, lodging, working etc (any of the sort) are in official request for the installation of a Cell Phone Tower to help better improve our lines of communication from this location.
The Cell Tower will allow the people of Whelan Bay Resort better access for communication while anywhere in the Village, surrounding trails/roads, and while on the water. The benefits of this tower will increase communication for the people at Whelan Bay, assist much more easily in any emergency situations (whether stranded in the forest, out in the boat, or in an accident around the resort), as well, provide another avenue for financially responsible Internet Service Plans.
Currently, there is virtually no cell reception without us having to rely on the Lodge Owners to provide this service to us, as well as our own custom smaller towers/cell phone boosters, which are unreliable in everyday tasks.
By SIGNING YOUR NAME BELOW, you are showing the need for the tower to be installed at Whelan Bay.
This will be forwarded onto our local MLA and our voice will be collectively heard – we are stronger in numbers!

The sheer weight of this support proves the big telecom companies can no longer ignore the safety crisis we face in Whelan Bay. We are dragging them into the light because they have left us stranded for way too long. Keep the pressure on them until that tower goes up.

SAFETY IS THE BIGGEST THING. if something happens on the water no one can call for help. fix this now.
Having to go to the lodge just to get a text out is such a hassle. we deserve better service out here.
Been coming to Whelan Bay for years and it is way past time we had signal. Trying to run a business from the lake is impossible without it.
This is 2017 & a cell tower is required for safety/emergency reasons, business & personal usage...please bring our community together & current with cell coverage.
A fleetnet tower is in place at whelan bay. This is a very busy place with permanent residents, summer residents, a permanent campground full to capacity every year plus all our visitors.
Have to be able to contact family.

A tower is currently in place at Whiteswan. Access to cell service should be mandatory for safety concerns.
