Dear the powers that be at Country 107.7 WGNA FM (Town Square Media.)

It's sad the current direction of the station. The awesome thing about the station besides playing our favorite type of music was the way they connected with fans. Because of this they have, or at least had, the most loyal listeners, not normal loyalty, crazy loyalty, like I've never seen.

Recently we lost Casey Danton, Steve Caporizzo and Al Winter so that it could turn into plug and play spots (recorded weather and taste of country updates.) Than the debacle with countryfest. Not only the fact that it's inside (that could have been overlooked) but the way it was marketed that it was the best thing since sliced bread and it's what we all really want and just don't know it. Also now there isn't the 107 days of summer, a lot less giveaways like normal.

Now we loose the crying, loving or leaving show for a national plug and play show, Taste of Country. (side note the host is horrible and the edits of segments suck.) Now instead of being a local listenership that mattered we are just another stat on some graph in a corporate office. We remember the ads about "we always have local winners." Lou Roberts might have a job but he's gone to us, sure we may see him at some live on location stuff but he's gone off the air. How much longer until Kevin Richards is replaced by plug and play?

Over the course of the last 7 months it seems like you are trying to crush the listener loyalty and have done a wonderful job at making us listeners fell like we don't matter. We know this is from some higher up some where staring at a computer screen and they are only worried about the short term profit. But when you destroy the loyalty to a station you destroy your long term profit. We hope when new managers come in that all the people that work so hard at GNA don't have to work another 30 years to rekindle the listener relationship. It's a sad thing to see. And I never would have thought there would be a need for a second country station on our presets....sad...and that's our view from the couch. (another segment we lost.)

We want our WGNA back. We were once a happy family and even marketed as such. Now it's like we have a new step dad and he's abusive but mom is too scared to leave. Bring back our local radio and bring back all the things that made us fall and stay in love with WGNA 107.7 FM
