I am making this petition in order to be able to enjoy the fresh air during warm days in the school year, which helps many students with anxiety, claustrophobia, depression, and more. School should be a place where people don't feel trapped or controlled (during lunch, at least. Give us a break). School should be a place where people feel free and trusted, as they should be. Lunch is supposed to be a break from classes, a time to socialize and relax from a stressful day. Students should be able to spend some of their day in the sun which we physically and (some of us) emotionally need. Last year, many students were able to sit outside. Yesterday, a school dean made everyone go back inside, because we weren't seniors yet. People should be able to sit outside and the fact that this is even an issue, shows a lot about the priorities of weymouth high school. Please sign in order to help support ALL students and their needs/wants/human rights to sit outside during lunch. We are people! We should NOT be cooped up all day long. Weymouth high school can have an adult supervise outside, if the problem is supervision. hen did highschools stop caring about the students?
