Rumour has it, according to IMDB (http://tinyurl.com/IMDbStarWars), that in Italy Star Wars: Episode VII will be out on the 5th January 2016, instead of the american release date of the film, the 18th December 2015, and the same of many countries around the world.

In Italy we got used to watch films in cinemas later than America, like Guardians of the Galaxy, that in Italy will be out in October, instead of August. We can understand that, because in Italy in August we see an decrease of the box office, October is a safer date where a risky film like Guardians of the Galaxy can find its audience. But Star Wars doesn't need to find an audience, and, for sure, it's not a risky film, but an event, what we in Italy need to share with the world. And moreover the box office in Italy during Christmas is the best of the year. So it doesn't make any sense, except for Disney Italy to receive more money putting an animated film on Christmas, and Star Wars after the holiday.
With Episode II and Episode III, Fox didn't do that, and manage to cash a lot of money in our country, just check BoxOffice Mojo (http://boxofficemojo.com) and you will see.

But that's not really the problem for us, because we can wait.
The real problem is called Internet.

That's what JJ Abrams, the director of Episode VII, said in an interview with the Daily Telegraph (http://tinyurl.com/JJDTelegraph) relating the secrecy of the film:

"We're living in a moment of instant information and a sense of entitlement to that information."

That's about the fans asking for information about the film, but that's also about the spoilers, that internet is full of. We can't fully experience Episode VII knowing something that we shouldn't, something that our curiosity may have lead us to read. We might be silly but it's true, and we can't also enjoy our Christmas holiday with the pressure of maybe open a website and read the ending of the film. Because Star Wars is not just a film, it's an event. And we can't accept it delayed in our country, the same country that helped the making of it, the new trilogy was partially shot in Italy.

Speaking as a truly Disney fan and admiring its determination on giving new compelling stories to that universe that we love so much, it's sad to say that this is just a demonstration of Disney not able to manage a phenomenon like Star Wars. It mustn't happen.
