The charter law that grandfathers students who have moved out of district to remain at our school needs to be changed.

I am vehemently opposed and appalled by this proposal. As a mother, homeowner and a taxpayer, relocating my child to a school they cannot walk to and if they did they would have to pass under a bum filled freeway underpass... when we are so close to Westwood charter is beyond absurd and offensive. We have multiple properties in the area and the idea of the thousands of dollars have paid in property taxes so our child could go to Westwood charter school, greatly disheartens me. It would lower the property values of our homes. A more fair and realistic approach would be to remove the high density dwellings/ rental properties north of Missouri ave. ultimately, it's those building that have contributed, if not caused this problem in the first place. We as homeowners need to vote out whoever proposed this terrible idea. Because clearly, they do not appreciate us or our tax base that pays their salary.

Move the Transitional kindergarten program to another school. Westwood was already a croweded school when the TK prorgam began there. It should never have been added.

We need to maintain access to a walkable neighborhood for this community. It is a critical "binder" for the neighborhood and very important for maintaining the sense of neighborhood that we all value.

This is a terrible solution for families living in our community. No longer will those families affected be part of the same "neighborhood". No longer will those families be able to walk to their neighborhood school. And there is a real financial consequence. Property values of those homes and condominiums that fall within the affected area will be negatively impacted.

My older childen went to WWC and it was so nice and neighborly to be able to walk to school with all the other families. I have another child starting next year and I live in the western part of the boundry. It would be a traffic nightmare to get to Nora Sterry due to the few access roads crossing the freeway.

The relocation of TK is a sound option that addresses overcrowding at several local schools and makes good use of available space at Nora Sterry.

breaking up our neighborhood artifically at Westwood Blvd. versus the 405 would dramatically impact of life for those of us who can walk our children the few blocks to Westwood Charter versus forcing us for safety reasons, let alon distance to drive to Nora Sterry. In an already congested neighborhood it makes no sense to redraw school boundaries in a way that will increase traffic.

Please don't redesign the boundaries. it's important to us to have our elementary school be Westwood Charter. This is a big draw in living where we do. This will diminish the community feel we have with our neighbors who send kids to the same school, restrict our ability to walk to school. There must be a better solution.
