On Monday October 24th at 10am, the West Windsor Retirees and Village Grande Civic Association are holding their Town Council candidate debate in the Municipal Building.

On October 6th, the two "slates" of candidates and Greg Harris, the lone unaffiliated independent candidate, were invited to participate.

After confirming and receiving details from Ron Slinn and Ed O'Mara the sponsors of the debate, Greg Harris was informed two weeks later that he would not be included. They stated that they traditionally do not include "write-in" candidates, even though this is the first time in West Windsor history there is a declared "Write-in" candidate.

There appears to possibly be more politically motivated reasons. West Windsor does not usually have candidates that don't run with a group. And the groups are divided across partisan lines even though it is a non-partisan election.

Both the League of Woman Voters, and the West Windsor & Plainsboro News included Greg Harris in their virtual printed debates both at the request of the residents, and in order to make sure that the voters heard from everyone equally.

Don't you think that the public should hear from each of the legally qualified candidates? By not including Mr. Harris, the debate organizers are deciding for you, the voters, which pool of candidates matter. Please sign this petition to let them know that you want to hear from all candidates so you can pick the best ones for the job.

Please only sign if you are a West Windsor, NJ Resident.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people believe that every candidate belongs on that stage. This momentum belongs entirely to the residents who refuse to be ignored.

Its not a real debate if you exclude people just because they arent part of your slate. Very disappointed in the people running this.

Ridiculous behavior from the organizers. Just sounds like they want to keep the status quo and ignore anyone who doesnt fit their little club.

This is total nonsense. Why are they afraid of letting the voters hear from everyone running? Let the man speak.

Totally unfair! If he is on the ballot or running he should get a seat at the table. We deserve to know his platform.

West Windsor really needs a change. This looks like a backroom deal to keep voters in the dark. Include him!
