Western Avenue in Roanoke, Indiana has sewer line issues. For 18 years the residents have dealt with back ups and having to watch for the town's sewer lines to get clogged and call the town to have clean outs performed. WE ARE TIRED OF IT!!! For 18 years we have been told "You are on the list" or "You are next" only to be passed over for their other projects. NOW the town received a grant for the sidewalks and streets. Western Avenue is getting a new sidewalk and resurfacing of the street. BY THE WAY, WE STILL HAVE SEWER BACK UP ISSUES and have had twice this week alone. We asked them to fix the problem BEFORE they resurface our street because they will need to dig it all back up again and the next resurfacing will have to be paid by the town, not the grant they received. They have said they can't reschedule it. Follow me here?? They are wasting money by not delaying the resurfacing and addressing the sewer problem. Please help the residents of Western Avenue get a new sewer line that is the correct size and isn't falling apart BEFORE we get our street resurfaced.
