As a member of Gay Church Band I can attest to the peaceful and playful nature of everything we do. Children love dancing to guitarists and the band is always happy to let young ones play around on the instruments and to encourage them. Live and let live.

Live music is awesome for any community, please don't do this!

This ban is absolutely ridiculous. West Chester University is known for its superb music program. West Chester township should try to showcase its talented citizens, not suppress them.

Not only is this a violation of freedom of speech/expression, but it is sucking the soul out of the town. When I lived here, it was always so pleasant to see people playing music on the sidewalk. It made West Chester seem so alive.

Street performers are part of what gives the town such great character. I don't go into town for the bars, I go to have a great time and enjoy the atmosphere.

this ordinance is not only irrational, it's unconstitutional.

This is absurd that this proposal was even thought of! West Chester used to be a hub of showcasing local music. And it's dropped so much in recent years, especially with the closing of The Note. We need to support the creative arts and music, not squash it.
