We the parents of the Westbrook School community call for the current school administration to immediately end the practice of canceling recess due to temperatures being below 32 degrees. Barring rain or extreme cold, defined as air temperature bellow 20 degrees or a wind chill warning issued by the National Weather Service, our children should have 30 minutes or recess as outlined by MCPS policy.
