Something to consider is that there is a big push for full legalization from the public and we're going to need proper protocol and infrastructure for it. This is a big step that can help everyone in the future as all the states around us decriminalize and make the same available. CBD growers can quickly switch to what would be needed for the medical AND recreational community, but only as long as timely, proper, and reasonable testing is already in place.

I agree with the WVHIA. We are struggling generational farmers that took a chance on one acre, hoping for the best outcome for our family.

Please update our sampling protocols! We are now the most restrictive state in the nation!

Last year, I invested over $50,000.00 to grow a low-CBD crop in a field model, which largely succumbed to weed pressure. This year, I am only growing a very small high-CBD crop because I do not trust the sampling protocol. There are enough challenges in this emerging market without adding the risk of regulatory failure based upon an inadequate and unreliable testing protocol. Please revise the standard so that investors like me will come back into the market in West Virginia.

I am worried the new changes are going to negatively impact the hemp industry

Help move us forward, not backwards. It’s hard to be a leader, it’s time somebody is around here.

Please keep testing fair. It is a privilege and honor to grow hemp and I’m so proud to be of this industry. Thank You

The WVDA is supposed to enhance and grow Agriculture not stifle it. Please Stop being so restrictive and trying to cower to the likes of US Attoney Mike Stewart's threats .

Let’s get this right so WV farmers can have a real cash crop again.

Come on WV let's take advantage of the new up and coming industry. Do realize how many people in WV could benefit from hemp?

Kentucky has been the bell cow for our industry. See what they're doing and follow suit. We don't have to re-invent the wheel just so we can say we did.
