As it stands now the current director has stated openly that she has no concern if adult biological males openly expose themselves to young girl(s) in the locker room, as long as they self-identify as a female.

All YMCA members deserve to feel safe and have our privacy honored. Individuals who feel this way about their gender identity should use the locker room of their biological sex and/or an individual room in the family locker room area. We who do not agree with their "feelings and identity" should not be forced to feel unsafe!

Please protect the safety and privacy and of ALL Y members. Require members to use the locker room of their biological sex or the like individual rooms in the family locker room.

I've always loves the principles the Y stands for. This disapoints me so much. I hope they are willing to put in more family changing rooms with separate rooms and showers where I don't have to send my girls or boys in a locker room alone, wondering what they will encounter.

I will not support this change at the YMCA, it is illogical and lacking forethought. How do they plan to uphold the safety of ALL it's members? Sexual harassment cases are going to sky rocket. I will never join an organization where I feel my safety, or the safety of my family, is at serious risk.

We are Y members. My children swim for the Y so swim at different facilities and spend time in different locker rooms. All Ys I can think of have family locker rooms with individual changing spaces. Does West Saint Paul not have these? It seems the most appropriate thing to do is have transgendered individuals use family locker rooms. You don't allow boys over 6 in female locker rooms, how is it OK for an adult with male genitalia to change in front of young girls? It is illogical and unsafe.

Ymca please put our daughters safety first. Do not allow men into their locker rooms.

We were considering a membership to the YMCA this year, but will not be joining unless the YMCA affirms the right of privacy and allows ONLY singular biological gender (anatomically male and anatomically female) restrooms, locker rooms and changing facilities.

I will not have a membership to an organization that I do not feel has safe practices for me and my family.

As long as a person has a Y chromosone, they are male. Keep them OUT of the female locker room.

My husband and I will most definitely pull our membership from the YMCA if this is not revoked. I will ONLY belong when locker rooms and bathrooms are only allowed to have one gender, that being anatomic male and anatomic female facilities. I will not be changing in front of other gendered people, and I won't put my kids in that situation either. Sincerely, Lisa O'Keefe

We have been in the process of considering a gym for our family. As we have 3 young daughters this would absolutely be an issue for us. When my daughters see the male anatomy for the first time, I want it to be on their terms, not because it's forced on them.

I often consider the YMCA when looking into gym memberships and programs for children, but will no longer do so when the organization supports risking the safety of my children and myself for the sake of political correctness.
