Petition TxDOT to change the intersection to allow a double left turn lane (currently single lane left turn lanes (North and South)). The current left turn arrow is very short and the pattern does not allow traffic to flow onto 518 effectively. Intersection in question: West Ranch development: West Blvd/Stone Creek Terrace and 518 in Galveston County in Friendswood, TX.

I have been documenting the traffic delays at West Blvd and Stone Creek Terrace to build a formal case for TxDOT. The feedback regarding the insufficient turn signal timing confirms that this is a widespread concern for our community.

The steady growth of this initiative confirms that our collective frustration with the traffic flow at West Blvd and 518 is widely shared. This momentum provides a clear mandate as we prepare to present these concerns to the Department of Transportation.

We need the double turn lane with all the increased building and the eventual extension of Friendswood Lakes Blvd connecting to League City Parkway. In the interim, we need increased green light time for the left turn light on to 518. Right now it is only about 10 seconds!
Thank you for looking into this traffic area. Many people make u turns in the neighborhood or on 518 because the turn light is so short. Hopefully making changes will make this a safer intersection.

Longer green arrow time & 2 left turn lanes please
Agree with petition, West road and FM 518 intersection needs 2 left turn lanes and light needs to be longer.

Please allow the center lane, as an additional turning lane. During rush hour traffic times, the single turning lane gets very congested. At times it can take two or even three long light cycles to pass through the intersection. Ridiculous!!
