Keep the current zoning as is!!! The school district is the MAIN reason why I have chosen to keep my Family in West Melbourne.

Our oldest daughter will be 3rd generation Mel hi alum. We also have 2 boys ages 10 and 11 and a daughter turning 2 in December.I have been on the same street for almost 30 years. This is a huge concern for us as these new subdivisions get built forcing us to have to change. We need to get back to making decisions based on what is right not what is easiest not based on someone or people looking at charts and numbers and basically guesstimating the future. I am against any rezoning for West by God Melbourne!

I bought a house in WM so my kids wouldn't have to go to PB High, I could've saved $80k in the purchase of my home if I had known this. Leave the zoning alone.

I only moved here for the school and have no problem leaving if the change goes though. Very disappointed with the whole local government system at this point.

Maybe we should stop destroying all of the woods and grasslands for building. Where do you all think the animals will go. Then he rezoning wouldn’t be necessary.

I am against moving residents who currently reside in West Melbourne to have their kids attend a school in Palm Bay. We just bought a home in Sawgrass Lakes (brand new area) and its not even on the maps presented by the school board. School zone was our primary concern when we bought this house and we are not happy with the location of Heritage High. We drove over there to look at it and it's in an unacceptable area for us.

We do not want our children reined to lesser schools or our house values to plummet. Not accetable!

The idea that districts have no correlation to zoning is ridiculous. Beachside students living in district 3 should have been the first choice to be moved to a district 3 school. Saying that's not how districts work here is nothing more than a copout to allow money to influence this process.
