Snohomish County has created a master plan for developing the land that was the Wellington Hills golf course. The master plan is to create the Wellington Hills County Park with fields for soccer, lacrosse, football, and baseball/softball. There will be trails for walking, hiking, and biking. It also includes playgrounds, picnic shelters, and off leash dog areas. The master plan includes road improvements, sidewalks, and parking.

I have seen the impact our shortage of soccer fields has on local kids. Of course NIMBYs don't want it, but let's do it for the kids!

I think it's appalling that a chosen few can use public funds to fight a battle for a park that is for the good of the community. Particularly being it was already a park-like setting (a golf course). This park will be there long after there gone.

We need these soccer fields badly. October and November time frames are difficult and these facilities will free up space for football, lacrosse and ultimate Frisbee as well..

This is not a park problem. This is a county road/transportation problem. The County has a responsibility to address your concern as well as the east/west road access. The layout of our country roads north of Woodinville-Duvall road is poor and the golf course road (240th SE) is highly overused by the residents to the east of the former golf course. Again, this is not a park problem. This is a county road/transportation problem.

I LOVE the idea of this park, but as far as I'm aware there are no plans to put in a left turning lane to access the park from Bostian Rd. As a resident who uses Bostian Rd to get home, I'm very worried about having to sit behind a long line of cars entering the park every time I want to get to my street. "Boo" to the planners who have included 700 parking spaces and no turning lane to accommodate the increase in traffic.

These fields are so badly needed by the youth in our area.
