The Super Bowl Halftime show is a divisive issue. On one extreme you have football purists who would rather not have the distraction and simply have the whole game about football. On the other extreme you have those who tune into the Super Bowl mainly so that they can see their favorite pop star perform. There has to be a way to make both of theses parties happy. Having a classic rocker like Bruce Springsteen is not the answer, in a way you are still alienating the pop star extremists by not having a show that is a full spectacle.
