I see no reasons to learn from MPS. Period. School is to make students excel, rid of weighing is a step back.

Please explain reasons for considering a shift in the grading system moving away from the current one. What are the considerations and pros/cons s that parents are fully aware and the school district maintains full transparency. Without any further information, I am very comfortable with the current grading system and it would be really hard to understand the reasons to change it without transparency from the school district. Also, school district should publish not only its own analysis, but also research from external 3rd party agencies that was considered to make the decision.

I have one daughter graduated from Brookfield East and One in 8th grade. From what I learned from my daughter applying college. I feel the same.

If we want to keep our reputation of academic excellence and increased housing assets, we shall keep what works.

Thanks. Jian. I cannot agree more of you. The school board should provide more information to residents living in elm brook school district before making any move.

In greater Milwaukee area, all top tier high schools using weighted grading system have better academic performance than other schools in the same tier, based on a research by US News using all State provided schools test scores data.
