Let's bring weekly recycling pick-up back to Huntersville!

I would love to see this weekly my bin is too small and I often have to ask neighbors if I may use there’s.

YES!!!!!!!! I was just saying this the other day and have been saying this for a couple of years, 90% of what we throw away is recyclable! Whether it’s a tub of something or a box of something; I have more recycle and I do regular trash !!!!

Absolutely! This will help people stop throwing recycling into the garbage.

Let’s look at cutting trash pick up to bi-weekly and increasing recycling to weekly pick up. I know that our family always fills our recycling bin and we end up throwing away recyclables, so switching the frequency of the two pick up services could potentially be a wash in terms of cost and could encourage those who don’t recycle to start.

It is our duty to be good stewards of the environment. If our current service can be improved to accomplish this, it should be considered. Weekly recycling pickup is necessary for any households.
