Are parents not able to buy suitable trousers / skirts elsewhere and then just sew on the "school badge"?
That's what happens at most state and private schools that have a uniform. There *IS* a preferred supplier BUT parents can purchase suitable alternatives and then just sew on the badges / logos.
I do wonder though, how many of these parents who are "struggling to buy clothes", have £500+ phones, enormous TVs and can afford to smoke and/or drink every day.
Mixed feelings.

Irresponsible and poorly thought out. Hope the same won't apply to other academies in the area.

There are a lot of families that have children attending Weavers Academy who are on low incomes or benefits who will find it difficult paying the prices for the new uniform. I know the school is supplying one item of new uniform per child but one pair of trousers is not enough my boy has three per term at least.

Really wrong to charge extortionate prices for uniform items that are likely to need to be well used.

My son isn't even going to Weavers, but I'm signing because I think the price is RIDICULOUS, and totally unaffordable for most families
