To date there has been very little data to support that children wearing masks prevent/slow the spread of Covid-19. On the contrary there have been studies that show the harmful (physical/emotional/social) side effects of children wearing masks.
I have been meeting with parents this week to document cases of students struggling under the current policy. Email your school board representative today to demand that they review this evidence directly. Post this link on your Facebook page to ensure other parents in the district see the reality of our situation.

I worry about the long term effects of children wearing masks all day while they are still growing and brains are developing.

Plenty of studies showing masks have little to no effect on viral transmission.
Children are not the spreaders of this disease.
It should be common sense that if we're trying to stay healthy we should breathe fresh air.
It's foolish to think that there are no negative health impacts to our children from wearing masks all day.
Let's start treating children like children again. Not like potential disease carriers or walking bio-hazards.
Give them their lives back - they've lost enough.
Let them see each other smile!

My daughter suffers from outbreaks from wearing the masks all day. We feel it should be our own choice as well! My daughter does not want to wear one and is not comfortable wearing them all day! I want her to focus on her education, not on a dang mask all day! She also has anxiety problems as is, and I personally feel my anxiety rise with having to wear them , so I cannot imagine for her! I'm not against people who do wear them or choose to do so, so I wish people could have the same respect for us and our opinion on the matter.

I do not have children in the school system but from what I’ve witnessed with my own eyes as I work in the school systems in Brattleboro VT kids most definitely touch their faces more they’re less attentive and it cause a lot of anxiety. I 100% believe it most definitely should be the parents choice to decide weather THEIR child wears a mask. Good luck to all!!

I support it being parents options, especially because my daughter is going into preschool and she isn't very cooperative with a mask.

Scientists and doctors across the country have spoken out against the CDCs lack of proof of mask efficiency and have in turn provided evidence in opposition of them as well as the lasting effects they may cause.
