the material on these uniforms is so itchy and way too short it makes me feel super gross while trying to workout. let us use our own stuff.

Even as a dance student I still value the ideals of being able to wear your own clothes to gym. As Seniors we will not have a need for these clothes at any other point in our life. So they're either cheaper or we get to wear what we want.

I don't understand why the sudden change is taking place. I'd rather be able to 'exercise' freely in my own clothes than restricting pieces of cloth that are designed for singularity and conformity. Don't get me wrong, school pride is great if you actually have it. But don't force the few of us that prefer the comfort of Nike shorts and slightly too big t-shirts into those tight things. There is no reason why a school without a dress code suddenly needs to implement a version over something so insignificant. Although it is my senior year, and it doesn't much apply to me anymore, my younger brother will be attending in a few years. And the underclassmen that had the privilege of being the guinea pigs will have to sulk through the rest of their high school existence being the first of a long line of restrictions. Either make a valid argument, or ban the change all together. I will personally be wearing my own clothes for gym, and if I'm given a detention for using my freedom of comfort and lack of dress code, so be it.

As if an armed police officer, stored internet history, and trackers in ID's isn't even control over our lives, Big Brother is giving us a uniform and making us wear a uniform and requiring us to pay for it ourselves.

They told me that we were getting new gym clothes because what the girls were wearing was inappropriate, but the shorts that I bought for the uniform are actually worse than anything I would ever wear. They have a slit running up the side all the way to the waistband and I feel uncomfortable wearing them without spandex or leggings underneath.

30 bucks for gym shorts is insane when i have perfectly good ones at home. nobody is going to wear these things outside of class anyway so its a total waste of money.
