This is a petition to help the NFMHS Thespian - Troupe 2519 seniors to wear cords at graduation.

At graduation, students are allowed to wear National Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor society cords, but not allowed to wear International Thespian Honor Society cords. These 3 societies are similar in their induction processes, as well as the rigor required to remain inducted as a member, but IT is the only honor society not included.

As a Center for the Arts school, it is important for kids to receive recognition at graduation for not only their academic, but also their artistic achievements. Wearing Thespian cords is permitted at all other arts schools and non-arts schools within our own district, but not ours. This simple acknowledgement would make a huge difference to our students. Please help us honor these deserving Thespians at their graduation.
