We need to create a show in this town that dominates the production resources and also illustrates our values. It's time to take our media back! It's not enough to simply protest as we flip the channels. We must become media!

First Duck Dynasty with those horrendous poverty beards and crawdad boils, and now this! Oh, but the South shall catch a break! It's up to us southerners to create our own shows! I have an idea: a reality show similar to RuPaul's Drag Race, only in our show, men are men, and they're well dressed preachers, too. Each week, a jury will entertain brief sermons from a roster of contestant preachers, judging them on grooming and oratory, plus x-factors like flare and gravitas. It could be called Deep South Preacher Race.

I agree completely. It's OK if one wants to be white trash in the privacy of one's home, but it's inappropriate to facilitate and perpetuate white trash culture on television. White trash culture should be covert, tucked neatly out of site. I suggest we create a competing television show called "The Well Mannered Southern Society Variety Program". I think it would be every bit as popular as the debaucherous filth that fills the airwaves, but liberal media wont give decency a chance. For shame. I would be happy to watch a proper TV program.

It's bad enough that Mississippians are always portrayed as uneducated, inbred rednecks! I say it's time we change our image!

A show like this is exactly what Ocean Springs IS NOT! This is an idiotic show with people with NO morals and No character. Have a show on the HARD Working people of the South. Not a show about trashy people that don't even live here!!!!!

Where one chooses to dine does not accurately portray their social standing, however how one chooses to portray themselves does.

These shows are really just for trashy idiots who don't have the IQ to watch something with a little more substance and are only interested in the continuation of stereotypes.

I might be British, but some of my best friends are from Ocean Springs and I'm looking forward to holidaying there for the second time next year. Keep Ocean Springs the beautiful place it is now!

I personally believe they need to take this stupid show somewhere else. This is a family oriented place and it doesn't need to be portrayed as white trash. If you want to boost business and bring in money and tourism, do so in a way that attracts positive attention, not drunken whores.

Ocean Springs is a beautiful, cultured, historic art lovers paradise. We do not want our wonderful city portrayed as an armpit for debauchery.

Ocean Springs has come a long way from being a "party town". I remember when the Village Inn was open 24 hours and Rumours out on Hwy 90 was Donna's Sugar Shack. Both "joints" were good places to party. Today's idea of partying is way different. The majority of reality tv is trash tv and I would hate for Ocean Springs to be painted by that image. Seems like a college town would be more appropriate for the age group on the show.
