We Will Not Allow "Party Down South" to Film In Ocean Springs

Everyone keeps making comments about white trash. You are probably white trash if you are worried about being portrayed that way.

I want to be on the show so bad. I think I wouldn't be a perfect candidate for the gay character on the show. I was the only gay pledge I'm my fraternity so I'm used to adding diversity to the picture and would be super awesome at adding diversity to this show!!!!

We just forced them out of Pensacola. Won't be going to Ocean Springs either. We don't want your filth in our cities.

I think ya missed the entire point of the petition. Congratulations on your high school "feats" though. This show would not make ya famous no matter how ya appeared on it. That is the entire piint of the petition. To keep a trashy show from portraying Ocean Springs as just that, trashy.

Tammy, you hit the nail on the head. We need a local production that glorifies intelligence and honest work. If we glorify stupidity, we will foster more stupidity. There must be some way for us to create our own show that glorifies intelligence and honest values. Unfortunately, I'm also a bit conflicted on this proposition because so much of what passes for intelligence is controversial, i.e. science. I'd hate to pollute with airwaves with another "science" show. If we only put our minds together, we can take back media.

Party Down South is not welcome on the Mississippi Gulf Coast

OS is one if the best little cities, it's made up of many great artist, musicians, scientist, architects etc. Our history is rich with great people who stood for family values, as well as community awareness. One season of these idiots would destroy over 300 years of that.

This show Is just trashy. ocean springs is my home. It is beautiful here and I would not want some trashy TV reality show filming here. The south already gets a terrible name because of all the other shows from the south and this one is just going to make it worse.

Please don't degrade a vibrant artistic community into a town known for a failed trailer trash reality TV show. Ocean Springs is where I grew up, and it's a welcoming family community that doesn't deserve to be portrayed in such a degrading manner..

Having come from up north, I was expecting just what thin kind of trashy show portrays. WRONG. The South has the kindest, most educated peope I have ever met. And I will proudly sign this petition, for it totally has the Great people of the South Wrong. And I stand along side them.

This is NOT how our town should be portrayed. As far as bringing new business to the area, what kind of business do you really think will be interested or tempted ? I don't think it would be a positive business move.

If they want a reality show, how about a true reality shpw. I've lived here, grow up with local here. Here's a true story... the ladies here are brought up with values. My dear, beautiful hearted friends are ladies, strong, independent, , caring.... knows proper cutlery placement, sit and walk with posture & dignity, and we also love football and fishing. We're true, and raised with Southern Gentile manners. What this show has depicted is a insult and complete distortion of reality here.
