This is an issue that NO software update can fix. The ONLY solution is to replace the defective batteries. Extended warranties should be freely given until all batteries can be replaced. If you have to shutdown a production line for one year and use the batteries that would have been allocated to those vehicles as replacements, you should do it. This is totally on Jeep and the law suits are going to start rolling in when vehicles start going up in flames because of these defective batteries.

Stellantis needs to be held accountable and stop cheating the consumers for selling us a product that we all loved but keep having issues. Help the owners with extended warranty on their battery or buy back these jeeps. There’s a reason we picked out a hybrid over an all Gas Jeep option.

I have owned a 2021 Sahara 4xe, a 2022 Ribicon 4xe, and a 2024 Grand Cherokee 4xe (that was so problematic we got rid of it after 7 months of ownership). We currently just own the 2022 Rubicon 4xe, 3 years now, and it too is starting to have a number of issues. Spent $190k in vehicles on Stellantis the past few years. I’d hope they would try to retain customers a little better…..
