You want to make a cheap-easy cash in to GTA V, go for it but don't bastardize Mafia while you do it.
Give it a new title but we both know it won't do well without a pre-existing franchise behind it.

I have no problem with a black protagonist. But Mafia franchise deserves Italian American protagonist.

Although i have craved a Mafia 3 since the release of Mafia 2, this is nothing what i wanted. Mafia was always the more realistic version of free roam games. When i saw the main character jump out of his car and see his car ram into other cars and explode everything without being harmed seemed like Just Cause 3. Although it would be fun to have this kind of stuff in other games like Just Cause 3, this is not what the Mafia games are about and a change needs to be made.
