We want the Irish Government to take action on the weight of children's schoolbags?
Presently Irish schoolchildren are expected to carry bags that weigh up to 12.7 kg or 2 stone to school and this is causing a number of health issues and incurring extra costs for families. The Gov. have not taken any action on this issue although have been aware of it since 1998. I created a facebook page (lighten the schoolbags) on this issue were potential solutions are discussed, however for real change to happen we need legislation from the Gov.
