I am making this this petition to state why my fellow classmates and I think Aleks is not the greatest way to see how our math skills are approving. Aleks is a basic website, although, its another step into taking teachers jobs. Alot of students need to learn math skills by doing them hands on, hearing the teacher explain, and work the problems out with us. Aleks is teaching us some of the math topics we have not learned yet, and it can get very confusing. Another issue with Aleks is that we are in the point of our lives where we have jobs, sports, and any other extra curricular activities we have to plan around. This petition does not have anything against homework, its just that we have to have a certain amount of skills per week to get good grades, and not all students can access Aleks at home, or even make it to tutoring period. It is very rarely we have time to work on aleks in class, and its usually only 10 minutes or less. By signing this petition, we students are agreeing that Aleks is not the right way to find out how we are approving, and learning skills in math class. We are also agreeing that we prefer teachers to explain it in their own ways, and test us from their ways.

Yes, this is a long shot, but i think that if WHS, PHS, and PSHS come together that we can achieve this goal together.
