This show has produced the most watched videos on the ABC YouTube channel and hasee helped to spawn similar competitions around the world. That alone should be ample proof of interest in the show.

I wouldn't be where I'm at right now (majoring in electronics technology/robotics) had it not been for the revival of Battlebots. There are almost 4 million views just for the Minotaur vs Blacksmith match on the ABC Network's YouTube page!
Battlebots needs to return for a Season 3!
